Here are four surprising foods that act as fat burners!

No pills or potions just simple everyday food.

Apples

A medium sized apple actually provides you with around 5g of great dietary fibre which we all know aids digestion and helps to promote fat loss and interestingly enough if you eat an apple about 15 minutes before lunch you’ll eat an average 187 calories less than those who don’t.

Eggs

Eggs are absolutely chocked full of quality protein and essential fats which help to promote fullness. Eggs are also high in a vitamin called biotin which helps the body to process, move and burn fat effectively. Try to stick to poached or scrambled if possible or if you really fancy a fried egg from time to time go for it and use spray olive oil.

Oats

Oats (porridge) are very high in soluble fibre and unlike most other grains, protein as well, meaning that they will help to keep you feeling fuller for longer. As an added bonus they are also low on the glycaemic index which means they won’t cause a sudden surge in blood sugar and then make you crash and burn shortly afterwards and because your blood sugar stays nice and even it will prevent you craving any snacks as well.

Peanut butter

Awesome grub! Packed with protein and good fats and it can reduce your hunger for up to two hours. Try and stick to the organic variety which doesn’t contain the belly bulging hydrogenated fats. Try it on toast with a small helping of jam and it will satisfy your sweet tooth as well, wahay!

Best wishes Garth
